PVEDI performed structural engineering services, including a uniquely challenging geotechnical investigation on these Greenwich Village buildings in preparation for an upcoming installation of new elevators and stairways. To comply with the city’s strict regulations protecting the integrity of historic properties, our geotechnical team lowered a disassembled drill rig down an abandoned elevator shaft to conduct all required investigations prior to the client’s alteration of these landmarked 4 and 6-story buildings.
