Crouse Run Streambank Restoration

PVEDI provided professional engineering services for this streambank restoration project. The process included the removal of deposited stone, sediment, and other debris from the stream channel; the installation of turf reinforcement matting; and grading of the streambanks, floodplain areas, and parts of the stream channel. Additionally, a low- impact vegetated retaining wall system was installed to stabilize a section of the stream bank, along with J-Hook Rock Vanes to effectively redirect stream flow. Hard armoring using stone rip-rap was applied at strategic locations along the stream bank. Upon completion, vegetated solutions were established on the stream bank, and seeding and mulching of all disturbed areas in and around private residential properties were executed.
