The Department of Buildings (DOB) was asked by the New York City Fire Department (FDNY) to conduct a structural stability inspection at 111 Mott Street after bricks were observed separating rom its bulging façade due to a building backup. The DOB issued violations, evacuated tenants, and implemented emergency work to stabilize the façade. The Buildings + Structures team at PVEDI collaborated with city officials to investigate and devise a stabilization plan. A PVEDI engineer was on-site full-time to create sketches and oversee all work.
