PVEDI was contracted to design and oversee the installation of a new metal cladding system to be anchored to the existing facade. The client’s intention was two-fold: to give the dated façade a contemporary refresh while also boosting the energy efficiency of the building. Our design provided a dynamic new surface with depth and articulation. Although the finish is dark grey, the materiality and placement of the panels causes variation in color and reflectivity as the sun passes throughout the day. The result brings playful character to the simple mass of the existing building and a sleek, modern appeal.
