PVEDI provided due diligence services for the Client’s acquisition of the former Standard Gage property. We discovered multiple Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs) relating to past site operations. A Phase II ESA was completed to assess the potential impact on the site’s local soil, groundwater, and soil vapor quality from these RECs. Data obtained from these assessments were used to prepare an application for the site to be accepted into the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP). The client, accepted into the program as a volunteer, retained PVEDI to satisfy all BCP requirements. Remedial Action included site-wide cover, sub-slab depressurization system, soil vapor extraction and monitored natural attenuation of groundwater. The site received Certificate of Completion in December 2024 and is now occupied.
